FULL MOON SuperMoon in ARIES October 15th / 16th 2016~
34 CommentsART BY MYSTIC MAMMA
*FULL MOON* rising in fiery Aries conjuct Eris brings a cauldron of the hidden bubbling to the surface. High tide has been rising all week toward this Full Moon apex.
Ground this swirling energy by rooting into Mother Earth. Pray to become an empowered vessel of patience. Speak your truth respectfully while harmonizing toward Unity and peace for all.
Here are the MYSTIC MAMMA Astral Insights from our beloved featured astrologers. First from astrologer PAT LILES from The Power Path.com:
“The Full Moon in Aries is exactly conjunct (joined) with Eris and also Uranus. That’s a serious, eyebrow-lifter for astrologers.
“We know Uranus can bring out the gifts of the rebel, the liberator, the awakener, the exile – each of these personas bringing a radical perspective because they value freedom and usually are precipitating it through unexpected and unsettling change.
“…Eris is cutting new ground here. She, with the aid of Uranus and in this moment the Full Aries Moon (all at 22-23º Aries) has been kicking up all the issues smacking of injustice whether in inner cities, locker rooms, prison cells, banks, war torn countries, wherever outRAGEous, socially unjust energies reside.
“Eris is the archetype of the feminine spiritual warrior, a warrior goddess. She gives a voice to feminine wildness compelled to do the right thing for all living beings, and she doesn’t care what gets left behind on the battlefield.
“Eris can access her fierce, ruthless strength to battle all the ugly manifestations of dominance, separation, and greed that can be created by the ego. This is not wanton destruction, but principled action out of deep necessity to WAKE UP!
“So, I’m just saying, this is a big influence for this Full Moon. It’s showing up in the news and it will show up in the charts of those with planets at 20-25º cardinal signs Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, Libra.
“When Mars and Aries are strong as they are here, anger is not your best ‘go to’ emotion. Although anger has its righteous place, over-reaction will not serve you.
“Keeping the peace or asserting yourself will be on the table. This SuperMoon has a lot to teach us.”

From astrologer APRIL ELLIOTT KENT from Mooncircles.com:
“Anger is the emotion of last resort, which kicks in only when other warning signs have failed to get our attention.
“When someone crosses the line with you, a quick and assertive response is in order. We need to stand up for ourselves, and when fear, good manners, or pride keep us from doing so, anger is the natural result…”
“These days, it seems that anger has moved from being the emotion of last resort to the first line of defense. There’s plenty of righteous anger to go around, and also quite a bit of misguided wrath…”
“The Aries Full Moon demands action and courage, not anger or blame.
“The most effective Aries people I’ve known are people of action. They are not saints – they have tempers, and don’t always exercise the best judgment; but neither do they blame the world for their problems, or meekly accept their helplessness at the hands of fate.
“Even if it’s something as simple as marching in a demonstration, writing a letter to the editor, volunteering for a charitable organization, cutting down on their gasoline consumption – they do something. And if they have a beef with you, they come right out and tell you instead of letting their resentment fester.
“The path to action is not so straightforward at this Full Moon, though. Mars – Aries’ ruling planet – is moving toward a rendezvous with Pluto in Capricorn, with this volatile combination in a powerful t-square to the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in Libra, and the Moon and Uranus in Aries.
“It’s no wonder the U.S. presidential election has devolved into an unholy mixture of pissiness and physical intimidation…”
“But look deep beneath the surface of fear and frustration, and you may be able to locate Capricorn’s voice of cool pragmatism. ‘Go ahead and take action,’ Capricorn advises, ‘But first, cool off and make a plan.
“…Aries isn’t partial to strategy; it’s the part of us that prefers to shoot first and ask questions later.
“But while temper tantrums and name-calling may temporarily feel satisfying, this Full Moon’s most effective warriors will be those who are disciplined and organized.
“Don’t get angry – get effective.”

From astrologer SARAH VARCAS from her Astro-Awakenings.co.uk:
“This Moon speaks of a need for brutal honesty, primarily with ourselves. She demands we view our life with dry eyes not through tear-stained despair.
“She doesn’t care how we got to where we are, who did what to whom, where we went wrong or were misled.
“Recrimination and blame have no place in her world. She simply wants us to see without emotion, where we are now and what we can do about it.
“If we love where we’re at, fine! Capitalize on what’s working to love it even more.
“If we don’t, this Moon offers challenging but sage advice about the effort needed to shift ourselves onto a different track. If we’re looking for a sympathetic hearing and space to ‘feel our feelings’ we won’t get it at this time.
“But if we want a cold, hard and perceptive appraisal of the unavoidable next step, we have a wonderful lunar guide.
“So listen closely, turn within, hear the voice of truth speak words you may have resisted before. Drop that resistance.
“Something is being said you really need to hear. Resolve to hear it, no matter how it feels. There is truth in this Moon, razor sharp and precious as gold.”

From astrologer DIVINE HARMONY:
“This Full Moon is nearly EXACTLY conjunct Eris… and brings the Eris archetype front and center into our experience…”
“Eris is definitely the Goddess of discord and chaos but when she uproots things or creates chaos she does so because the facade has gotten toxic and it’s time to really face and see what lies underneath. She actually brings harmony and balance by shining a Light on the shadow.
“She releases anger and rage that has been stuck, stagnant and repressed for far too long and could become even more toxic and explosive if not given an outlet NOW…”
“Because the moon is involved emotions can be HIGH at this Full Moon and building up to it days or even a week beforehand.
“If you find yourself feeling angry, rageful, irritable, reactive or impulsive- know that Eris is stirring your pot and navigate the fiery energies consciously so they are creative rather than destructive.
“On the flip side- if you find yourself feeling depressed, apathetic or disconnected this Full Moon is asking you to get in touch with what you have repressed within…”
“Communications, perception, thinking and speaking can be intense but also penetrating and revealing right now.
“With the ruling planet of this lunation Mars approaching Pluto (exact 10/19) some very powerful energies are brewing that we REALLY want to work with consciously.
“Mars/Pluto can help us align our lower egoic wills with our Higher Wills- so actions we take are masterful, full of integrity, personal accountability and maturity.
“OR Mars/Pluto can be a battle of wills- lower versus Higher- with egos clashing, power/control dynamics erupting, with manipulation and even violence erupting.
“The Great Mother asteroid Goddess Ceres is also involved in the Full Moon- her position at 29 Aries puts her in conjunction with the Moon at the karmic completion degree (the 29th degree of any sign has this energy).
“There can be big things up right now around home/family situations, safety and security, the environment and Mother Earth at large…”
“Using this Full Moon to really FEEL all our emotions- especially the ones we tend to want to disassociate from like anger, rage, grief and pain.
“The path to healing requires that we feel things all the way through without getting stuck in the emotions but also not avoiding them entirely or shutting them down…”
“We live in a society that reactively expresses or represses- not one in which healthy ways of dealing with emotions gets modeled. We have to model this for ourselves.
“Particularly in the spiritual community- there often can be a judgement around negative emotions as though one is not as evolved or awake if one feels anger or grief or attachment…”
“Emotions are part of the human experience. We did not come down here to shut off our emotions and disconnected from our humanity. We came here to be fully embodying and feeling it all– and wake up while in the fullness of our humanity!
“This Full Moon is wonderful for awakening and liberation from things we have been repressing, holding back, holding onto or disconnecting from- both emotions, people, things, attitudes and more.
“…this lunation is particularly potent and intense. The very yang, fiery, aggressive energy of Aries is exacerbated by Uranus/Eris on the moon as well as mars in Capricorn (ruler of the Full Moon) approaching Pluto.
“There’s just no getting around this astrology- so may as well call a spade a spade rather than dress it up in a pink tutu and call it a unicorn ;) but we can work with these force field energies with consciousness.
“Uranus helps us to break free and revolutionize our lives! Mars helps us to take definitive action! Pluto helps us to confront shadow, purge what no longer is valid, transform and empower ourselves. we can embrace these energies at the time of this full moon if we so choose.
“Of course the true test to mastery is when you can find and keep your center even when the rest of the world around you is losing theirs. A tall order and one to rise up to this month for sure!
“I leave you with Ellias Lonsdale’s Star Sparks meditation for 24 Aries reminding us that we are partners in the dance– one part of a greater whole. The key is to relate to others consciously and with deep integrity, deep respect and deep honoring.
“The healing of the split within and without happens when we all do our part and treat each other as we would like to be treated as we each make our journey Home…”
From ELLIAS LONSDALE:
“Aries 24 A harp which plays itself
“I empty myself of my own experience and I am filled by what we are moving through here.
“I deprive myself of the privilege to make my own music. Then the music that exists finds that I am just the one to tune and respond.
“I am greatly delighted to be able to make way. It releases me from the burden of separative selfhood.
“Each arising occasion becomes yet another opportunity to divest myself of baggage and become attuned to something I’ve never had before, I’ve never been ready to make way for till now.
“When I am on, everything that needs to happen flows through me and I facilitate events, experiences, encounters, epiphanies.
“That frequency of staying on the beam with what arises in the free moment is where I can shine, for I know how to be light, clear, effortless.
“I am aware of what it takes to let all of us be present, each of us as fully as we can be in this crystalline breath.
“I do not know what to do with myself when I am supposed to get on with my own concerns. I have nothing really to do. I only come alive when the pulse is engaged.
“There is nothing else to even prepare for or pretend to be aroused by.
“So I come across as simple-pointed and almost narrow.
“I certainly am purposive and steady on.
“But it’s the receptivity, the availability, the quiet interior resource which is actually what I manifest in this life.
“I am a partner in a dance. I am one part of a greater whole.
“My facet is complete unto itself. Yet it really takes a shared moment for this to come alive as intended.
“I live for the sensation of being tapped, of being asked to give of my essence and let the truth resound all through my being.
“How can I not seek the charged moment of encounter?
“I am the breath of new life, awaiting winds that blow.”

I feel i need help with this part; how can i hear? What can help in receiving the words and energies of the fullmoon?
“So listen closely, turn within, hear the voice of truth speak words you may have resisted before. Drop that resistance.

Hi Pari, it’s all about being aware of all the energetic blockages that come up through feelings, emotions and thoughts. For example, you suddenly feel angry, then ask yourself where is this anger coming from, what triggered it? Emotions are heightened around the full moon time, so we know what we need to heal and purify ourselves, to open ourselves up even further. Focus on your breath, inhale and exhale slowly and deeply (10x) to calm yourself completely down and relax, let go of all the heaviness and energy that doesn’t belong to you. Then connect to your inner self and the moon.. and just listen.. is there an emotion coming up, a feeling, a thought? And don’t worry about hearing ‘actual’ words. It is all about trust, follow your intuition. And even if you can’t find anything, then know that you are still guided. Continue to ask for the Moon’s Guidance and healing.

Yesterday was my birthday, October 15. My sister actually sent me the link to this posting. It is so nice to read this because every time someone called and asked what my big plans were or how I was celebrating this year, I burst into tears… This is my 29th birthday and I always surround myself with loving happy people to help me celebrate and bring in the next chapter of my life and just celebrate life in general. This year I spent my birthday completely alone. I was showered with loving posts on social media, phone calls from loved ones, cards in the mail, and even a gorgeous flower delivery but not a single breathing person next to me. I spent the day rotating through cycles of reminiscent movie watching snuggled up in my bed, deep cleaning organizing and rearranging my house, answered every call with gratitude and joy ( a few made me burst into tears ) ( but it was almost like a cleansing warm and welcome cry, it annoyed me and I tried desperately to stop them, your not supposed to cry and be sad on your birthday. Why was I feeling like this? ) and I didn’t even eat until just now at 3:30am I am sitting in a diner enjoying my first meal technically after my birthday has ended.

I have chills reading this. My birthday was the 15th too and I had a very very similar experience. This article helped me to understand it too. I kept bursting into tears on my birthday since I felt indecisive and guilty about trying to plan my own celebrations and worried no one actually cared or would come, or would have fun (since we libras just want everyone else to be happy). I kept thinking I just want to crawl back into bed and cancel everything and pretend it wasn’t the day I’m supposed to guiltily ask people to celebrate me. Luckily my fears were unfounded and my friends also showered me in love, gifts and a huge turn out to celebrate my 27 years. But we had so much food we ordered and I barely ate a thing. Even today I had a family dinner and had no appetite and barely ate anything. (This never happens, I’m a foodoe) I also have had terrible insomnia tonight. Which also never happens, I never have trouble falling asleep. But my thoughts of reflection and instinct to really change my actions have been overwhelming. My feeling of not being able to do enough or be enough because of my own fear and procrastinations has been extra strong the past few days. I hope it helps to know that another October 15 birthday sister was feeling very similar emotions. I found comfort in hearing your story. Hope it gets better for us both and we can harness this restlessness into positive change.

I cringe when I read people suggesting that Anger is an emotion. APRIL ELLIOTT KENT mentioned in her screed that it as an emotion. It is not an emotion. Anger is a reaction arising from an emotion. Consider that basic primary emotions are love, desire, happiness, interest, surprise, wonder and sorrow/hurt. Only psychologists working with the mind call/consider anger as being an emotion. This is what they are taught by a very limited education system that does not take the spiritual aspect of our being into consideration. Some call a reaction to these primary emotions a Secondary Emotion which is what is nurtured into a human, and becomes part of the mental plane. It is how we may react to the basic primary emotion which are from the spiritual plane. That is why some people do not understand their emotions and their reactions as the system does not support proper education. Anger can be a reaction to sorrow or hurt as can be crying, grumpy and frustration. Please don’t teach people that anger is an emotion.

I did indeed feel the mana of this for a week in advance!! Chaos..
crazy, impulsive, angry, independent, selfish, like, “I don’t care what anyone says..”
Also, noticing the beauty within people. This energy is intensely important because I aim for self-employment and to live every day like it’s a hobby. People do not get remembered for getting a business degree and working for someone else, in an office, doing what they are “supposed to”. Instead of their PASSION.
Marina Adams says:

I do not normally subscribe to astrology, but I felt the mania of the full moon Saturday night and looked up what the hell was going on the Universe to try to explain the intense energy I was feeling. Even in the week leading up to the supermoon, I have been grumpy, snappy, and withdrawn. It stirred something in me that had been repressed up until now. I was up all night Saturday and I couldn’t stop thinking of what has happened to our country and how evident it now is with this disgusting election. I thought about the Revolutionary War and how our liberty was worth dying for. What is left of this country is not worth dying for. I am so sad that we live in a corrupt country run for the corporations, by the corporations. All I have the capacity to do right now is vote for the lesser of two evils in our upcoming election. I’ll vote for the two-faced, greedy liar to keep the racist, biggot, megalomaniac our of office. It hurts me that that is all I can do. I have never involved myself in politics or even voted until the recent primary, but I finally feel called in my life to cast my vote. I want to step up for the people of this nation and do what I can to fight for freedom and justice. I am a Capricorn, a cardinal sign. Perhaps this is why I am feeling this so much. I know there are more good people out there than bad ones, and that is the one thing that gives me hope for humanity’s future.

Something prompted me to check where the moon was on the 14th of October because it was the day my husband and I had what I thought was a spat, but he blow it up. We didn’t talk again till the 21st and that was to tell me he was done with the marriage. We are now legally separated and living in separate states. I’m learning how to let go. I’m a Libra he’s a Scorpio.
