    Topanga Canyon has long been the place i call home… i am usually quite private about my personal life but i have shared within my MM community only to express my deep love, reverence and connection to this land as i have never felt this kind of belonging to a place before… 
    we are currently evacuated and deeply grateful we are safe, but overcome by the immensity of the loss and the grief so many are feeling…
    my children’s grandparents lost their home and many friends and community have also lost their homes in the multiple fires in the Los Angeles area… 
    the loss of HOME is something so heartbreaking, for it is our own personal haven that holds the memories of the life we have created, it anchors us to a particular place that serves as our axis of safety and protection…
    on 1.13 we have a FULL MOON rising in CANCER stirring all of our internal waters, likely making it an emotionally overwhelming time for many…
    it is super important to give ourselves the utmost self-love and care during this time as our emotions will be stirred around loss and issues related to home, family and safety…
    a familial chord is striking our hearts and the beauty in it is that it links us in our humanity…
    the NORTH NODE just shifted into PISCES on 1.11 and so part of our evolutionary lesson is to allow these waves to open our hearts and envelop us in a feeling of greater connection, unity and love… 
    PISCES, like CANCER holds all of our feelings… so as the FULL MOON stirs the tides within us, sending soothing prayers into the sea of us is what is needed… 
    each cracking open of our hearts, sends a ripple of relief in full expression of the tragedy and the beauty that we are witness to…

    in the Northern hemisphere, we enter the darkest night and like our ancestors before us, we send prayers for the LIGHT to return and rise again within each of us…
    in the Southern hemisphere, our sisters and brothers mark the peak of the LIGHT and celebrate how essential and life-sustaining its rays of illumination are…
    SOLSTICE means “to stand still” so on this day we are invited to take a sacred pause and light a candle to honor the LIGHT that sustains us…
    for as the Earth’s rotation spins us to and fro our central SUN…
    when we are turned away, in its absence, we are reminded of the gift we consistently have…
    the warmth, the embrace, the illumination that streams to us steadily…
    and with each spin, each return, we are invited to greet the LIGHT and to remember that this same LIGHT lives in us…
    and that even when the night is darkest and our days are long, our inner LIGHT holds vigil…
