NEW MOON in Sagittarius aims to ignite a flicker of hope in the darkness. From the darkest shadowy depths she steadies to rise, as she becomes illuminated with a new vision for our collective future.
With new vision and hope in our hearts, she inspires us to come together to organize and bring forth our voices, talents, skills, wisdom, kindness, and compassion to rebuild and restructure what has gotten undeniably out of balance.
Here are the MYSTIC MAMMA Astral Insights from our beloved featured astrologers. First from the wonderful CATHY PAGANO from her Wisdom of Astrology:
“…emerging out of the darkness of our Shadows and our fears about death which we encountered in Scorpio into a more light-filled, optimistic energy…”
“After any death-and-rebirth experience, we emerge with an expanded vision of the possibilities of life. Sagittarius is the sign of philosophy and cosmic law—where the central truths of life and death are honored.
“This is the sign and the time to emerge out of our self-centered vision of life into a much broader view of life that includes others as well as the Earth and all her children.
“We are seeing that as patriarchy makes a last grab for power, the Divine Feminine is on the rise.
“It is the women of Standing Rock who lead with prayer and vision. The men are there protecting them. That is the true balance between men and women which patriarchy tried to overthrow.
“Sagittarius is all about the Truth. Sagittarians are Truthspeakers and Truthseekers…Sagittarians always have a goal in mind.
“That’s the arrow that this celestial archer aims at the heart of the matter…”
“The Sabian symbol for both the Sun and Moon at 8* Sagittarius is: Within the depths of the Earth, new elements are being formed.
“This symbol is so apt for what is going on in America and around the world today. Unconscious forces are at work with our collective psyches, helping us find new responses and solutions to what is happening in our world.
“We are finally waking up to a new sense of ourselves as empowered citizens. All this is going on within our individual psyches, so pay attention to your dreams for they’ll show you the way.
“The asteroid Juno/Hera is conjunct this New Moon, so when you’re planting that new Sagittarian seed, remember that it is our relationships which define us.
“The Greek goddess Hera was called the Perfect One and her consort was supposed to perfect her. When Zeus didn’t, she raged. With Jupiter/Zeus now in Libra, the sign of partnership, perhaps he’s finally willing to listen and engaged in equal partnership.
“The people at Standing Rock are showing us the right way to do things between the sexes.
“This New Moon squares (challenges) Neptune and the South Node in Pisces, asking us to really discern what is true from what is delusion and to let go of the fears and victimhood that are such a profound part of the Age of Pisces.
“For those of you with a strong spiritual center, this aspect can also awaken your imagination to help you discover your truth.
“Saturn and Mercury are also in Sagittarius, so question your beliefs and find your truth. Don’t look outside yourself for the answers, but go within and listen!
“…Jupiter is in Libra now, expanding our sense of fairness and justice—especially important in America as we see patriarchy fighting to hold onto control.
“This is the moment to take justice and fairness into our own hands and not be afraid to stand up against tyranny and oppression.
“We see it happening in North Dakota, as the ‘security forces’ the oil company hired are seriously injuring the peaceful protesters.
“Those ‘new elements’ gestating in our collective unconscious will help us stand up for truth.
“Mars in out-of-the-box Aquarius supports Jupiter in Libra’s quest for fairness and justice. It’s time to stand up for our ideals and grapple with the forces of regression and domination… “
“Jupiter opposes Uranus, Eris and Ceres in Aries, showing us that when we are willing to be warriors for the Truth, we need to collaborate with like-minded individuals.
“When Jupiter squares Pluto and Venus in Capricorn, we are pushed to shift our perspective about what is important to preserve in our society and what needs to be released.
“We do not need more oil pipelines (which keep bursting and polluting our water) when new sustainable energy technologies are becoming readily available. The pipelines only purpose is to feed corporate profit.
“It’s time to take responsibility for the world we live in, for our own authority—for who else is the ‘author’ of your life?
“Our choices and our actions speak to who we are. Are you happy with your choices? Did you make those choices in consideration of others’ needs?
“We have to start thinking about ‘us’ rather than only about ‘me’. We have to stop being selfish and entitled and grow up to our responsibilities.
“These energies form a tense aspect called a T-square, meaning these planets are all in 3 Cardinal signs. The fourth leg, which can stabilize the energy, is in Cancer, so if you have any planets from 15*-25* Cancer, work with this nurturing, feeling, feminine energy now to center yourself in these chaotic times.”

From PAM YOUNGHANS from her NorthPoint Journal:
“At the time of the New Moon, the Sun and Moon are strongly square (90 degrees away from) both Neptune and the karmic North/South Nodes.
“A square aspect always indicates a certain amount of discomfort, which is often a prerequisite for change; if we are comfortable, we rarely look for ways to make improvements.
“With the Nodes involved in the lunation chart, the coming month is a critical one in our evolutionary process.
“We are being compelled, through the emotional uneasiness we feel…This means moving:
From escapism to participation
From confusion to detail-orientation
From self-doubt to self-confidence
From victimization to focused intention
From looking to be rescued to taking responsibility for change
From overwhelm to having strong boundaries
“With Neptune aligned with the South Node, our attachment to these old patterns is dissolving.
“As we release these patterns, we discover new ways to take charge of our circumstances and open the door to improvement and success…”
“The asteroid Juno, named for the wife of Jupiter and queen of the gods, is closely aligned with the Sun and Moon at the time of the New Moon. Juno, who I tend to nickname ‘the marriage asteroid,’ represents themes of partnership, so we are meant to collaborate with like-minded others now.
“But there’s also another side to Juno. Those who know their mythology know that Juno (Hera to the Greeks) was in no way a passive partner to her husband.
“They had their battles — and oftentimes had a rather dysfunctional relationship — but through her need to be equal partner, Juno also symbolizes our ability to support women’s rights and to be a champion for those who are disempowered or disenfranchised.
“The theme of relationships continues strongly throughout the week due to several aspects involving Venus, the goddess of personal love.
“For the most part, these aspects represent the need to be authentic and self-determined within our close relationships.
“They also indicate increased restlessness if we feel that our autonomy or our truth is being compromised by the patterns of relating that we are currently expressing. “

From LEAH WHITEHORSE from her LUA Astrology:
“This New Moon is tightly conjunct Juno, the asteroid associated with marriages and contracts. During this lunation, we’re asked to find ways to agree, even if there are differences in belief.
“Jupiter, the ruler of this lunation has just squared Pluto and for many of us, what we believed and envisioned has been seriously challenged.
“Issues of wealth (Jupiter) and power (Pluto) are clashing. There’s more than a hint of fanaticism coming from all sides and extreme agendas make it harder to fulfill Jupiter’s primary motivation right now which is to develop balance, compromise and equality (Jupiter in Libra).
“This New Moon asks us to make an agreement to learn together, to find common ground in this alien landscape. It’s what we missed somewhere along the line.
“The New Moon squares the Nodes which often represents a skipped step. The square to the Nodes highlights that in the past, we had a choice whether to follow the high or the low road.
“The wrong choice in the past simply brings us back full circle and offers us a chance to choose again.
“There’s no punishment, only consequences. We’re already beginning to see and understand.
“Neptune’s recent conjunction with the South Node makes it all seem a little surreal right now.
“The square from the Moon shows that we might feel like we’re trying to make sense of the nonsensical.
“It’s important we don’t confuse the effort to understand differences of belief with accepting the unacceptable. The two are not mutually exclusive.
“We need to renew our sense of faith, even in the face of loss…”
“Sagittarius is a visionary sign. During this lunation, take time to think about how you see the future unfolding – your personal future and the wider collective path.”

And from PAT LILES from the Power Path.com:
“Sagittarius helps us explore the far horizon, see beyond what’s right in front of us, .
“Sagittarius is where we distill our moral and ethical principles from the Truth we perceive.
“We have a pointed emphasis in this area with Saturn, our teacher, Lord of Karma, also in Sagittarius until the end of 2017.
“A moral and spiritual awakening among us is beyond germinating and is thriving and feeling its purpose ever more clearly.
“Are you feeling pushed to take a stand for what is morally and ethically right? (Did Saturn just cross the rising sign of the USA last month and push us forward in that direction?)
“Are citizens going to have to get disciplined to do what’s ‘right’ to protect the principles of democracy, the earth itself, to hear the voices of the people, to serve and protect where needed?
“Saturn seems to think so. It may also be pushing you to take care of yourself in ways you never were able to see before.
“Speaking up for those parts of your self that have not had a voice before.
“Asteroid Juno is exactly conjunct the Sun and Moon for New Moon. She will not be ignored. She’s the goddess of committed relationship and partnership.
“She’s the face of the dance of the masculine and feminine archetypes seeking to relate, come into balance, share power, learn to do the two-step of give and take…”
“The Sun, Moon and Juno exactly square the North and South Nodes that represent what we seek to heal that is brought from the past (South) and where we need to grow and stretch ourselves and work our edge to evolve (North).
“With square aspects, you’re working that Crisis/Opportunity axis so you have to make a choice for how you’re going to direct your mind-tool to serve your heart.
“We might see struggle rise up at this Moon or feel the two extremes of the letting go and cutting new ground magnified or feel them simultaneously…”
“Uranus adds the element of liberation and the chaos of breaking of the old in unexpected ways to let in more light.
“Fire will give us resilience and a positive attitude and Saturn will temper the chaos and get us organized and disciplined to animate our visions. These will be our tools in the coming months.
“But we owe at least a few words to when Sag goes extreme and hits that negative polarity. When we get lost in the deluded righteousness of our vision, what do we get? Fanaticism, aggression, an all-consuming reckless destruction.
“But that’s the extreme. Let’s work for balance here…the high side of Sag, the enthusiasm, inclusiveness, truthfulness, the moral high ground…”
“This is the time frame where we take the accelerated elevator to more awakened consciousness on the planet.”

MM are you aware of how to donate to the Standing Rock effort? I have been to rallies and protests here in Virginia (we also have insurmountable odds against our efforts to prevent similar destruction of our pristine land and rural communities here), but would like to give more than just solidarity to those on the front lines. Many thanks for your offerings, Aho!

Hello Aiia! Yes there are many ways to support!
According to my friends on the front lines the Medics are doing a wonderful job and could continue to use support >>> https://medichealercouncil.com/
Also Indigenous Environmental Network is a grassroots alliance of indigenous peoples and individuals working for the environmental and economic justice issues at hand >>> http://www.ienearth.org/
Also they are asking for us to pull our money out of the banks that are funding this pipeline such as Wells Fargo, Citibank and HSBC among others and move them to local credit unions instead. There is a big CALL TO ACTION happening in San Francisco Nov 30th through Dec 1st to divest. Read more >>> https://www.farewellsfargo.com/
Also we can’t underestimate the power of prayer! Keep the prayers flowing strong!
Much love and thank you!

I absolutely love this page, I share every full moon and new moon write up on my new age spirituality page and always urge everyone I know to chexk out this site. It’s just wonderful. However, I must say, one thing I think is not ok is when ANY astrology or spirituality page starts incorporating political views and personal political opinions in their astrological write ups. I sincerely hope this is not taken offensively, I don’t intend to be. I just feel, and k ow that many others agree, that pages like this are one of the last places we can go to and call a peaceful haven, where we can leave stress and politics ar the door and come together with a common awareness of spirituality. So I’m sorry but to me it just completely pollutes my zen to come to the page tonread this month’s New Moon writings, and find political editorial commentary on the topic of oil drilling and protests in North Dakota, and even going as far as attempting to be subtle when saying to stand up to tyranny… I’m sure we can all agree that we love Mother Earth and nature and want to protect her. But I’m also sure that there are many people who also believe in our country’s security and the problem if being dependant on other nations. So I just wanted to politely and humbly express my thoughts, that I hope this beautiful page will consider avoiding straying into writing personal political views and stick to the astrological and spiritual writing that is always done so poignantly and wonderfully…please allow this to remain a place where we can focus on spirituality even if for a few minutes a day.Thank you

“Only to the degree that people are unsettled is there any hope for them.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Paradoxically, the price of true hope, it seems, is being unsettled beyond repair. And this is exactly the opportunity our political moment is presenting to us all. Right now, from all corners of our shocked culture, there are cries of hope, demands of needing to become even brighter lights amidst the spreading darkness. I disagree.
I think that this moment gives us an opportunity for reckoning only if instead of running for the light, we let ourselves go fully into the dark. If instead of resolving our discomfort too quickly, we consider the possibility of staying in the uncomfortable, in the irreconcilable, in the unsettled.
Before we rush in to reanimate the discourse of hope prematurely, we must yield to what is present. Receptivity is the great quality of darkness; darkness hosts everything without exception. The Dark Mother has no orphans. We must not send suffering into exile — the fear, the heartbreak, the anger, the helplessness all are appropriate, all are welcome. We can’t dismember ourselves to feel better.
We can’t cut off the stream of life and expect to heal.
Cutting off the inconvenient is a form of spiritual fascism. By resolving to stay only in the light in times of immense crisis, we split life; engage in emotional deportation, rather than hosting the vulnerable. Difficult feelings need to be given space so they can come to rest. They need contact.
In a culture of isolation, be the invitation to everything.”

The personal is political. And the political is personal. I LOVE that you included politics in the write-up! Spirituality should be about ALL of life, not just pleasant, uncontroversial subjects. Keep it up!
Jane McKann says:

I agree with Nancy Lankston that thte personal is political and the political is personal. I love that the astrologers are linking the aspects in the heavens with our personal and political opportunities now. Thank you so much for your newsletter and all that you do. We can no longer separate the spiritual from the physical world with our thoughts, words or deeds. That is where a lot of this unbalance began.

Thank you – appreciate the gathering of these powerful insights as we negotiate this sensitive and important time. The words that speak to me are: “Speaking up for those parts of yourself that have not had a voice before.” This is what my work in the world is focusing on – the doing and the encouraging in others – and it’s so wonderful to have clarity through these words today. I think it’s important to also speak of what it means to create our lives consciously. It is possible not to be affected by the gravitational pull and influence of these celestial bodies, or of energies and people around us, if we choose consciously to tune into the realm of truth, which is bliss. It requires a letting go of struggle, fear, shame, anger, etc, and my sense is that those that have gone into this fire and boldly sat at the table with these life-depleting demons are finding it easier to direct the will, heart & mind to consciously choose the high road. The truth is a one-point in the center of our own heart… it is where all paths lead and can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and the bliss & love is, even in the theatrics of the world, what all things are (despite various manifestations). But… often we are not even aware of what crap we are receiving and accepting from the subconscious mind… and we can allow falsehoods to rule us and hijack our life force. It will become imperative for our survival to literally break the relationship to our negativities, and offer them to Shiva, the force within you that destroys in order to liberate. Everyone will make it there in their own time. My advice: get in the calm center of the storm, get in a flow with your focus on what you actually want to create, and let everything else play out. I shared this report not seeing that you had posted “do not share entire report” !!
This morning when on my FB homepage I saw your request. I will delete the post at your request, however. I think this is a silly request. What’s the difference? When copying this report with a simple “share” it takes others immediately to your site and gives you more “press” exposure….sharing your wisdom and knowledge.
Call it the rebel in me….your request feels like a control issue…and I spotted it cuz I am a control freak too and those are my lifetime issues…and now in my elder years I realize that all that control stuff is rooted in fear…it’s in my chart and part of my life lessons, however. We are here to overcome and heal our “stuff”.
Cutting and quoting…I don’t know….takes me into a whole other place now with this.
I did enjoy the read. Thank you for that.

Its exactly how I feel, and never before so strongly, I’m libra and feeling completely betrayed by the politicians I supported. I feel like the axe must fall, next election, to stop them in their tracks. How can they not get, pipelines? Really for another big oil company – largest in America – to make more money from us? And then walk away if the pipes burst, for surely they will in the centuries to come! Who cleans all this up?
Trudeau and Clarke, you are both done! And I’ve never felt it more personally than I do –
