“We are being asked to honor the gifts of womankind and to call on the strength of our sisters in order to discover ourselves. The circle will come full when every human can see the beauty within the Self, as well as in all others. The transmutation of competition, separateness, hierarchy, jealousy, envy, manipulation, control, selfishness, greed, dependency, old wounds, and self-rightousness must be accomplished before we will come to wholeness. These attitudes are the enemies of humankind and are found within the Shadow-self, rather than outside ourselves.”
“As more women take their roles in the modern world of corporations and business, they often find themselves losing touch with the feminine. This is almost expected since the corporate work force is dominated by men. The role models of the ancient clan mothers can assist these modern women in maintaining their sense of Self and enable them to become leaders through example rather than through competition, backstabbing, or conquest, but the challenge to accomplish these goals depends upon the strength of the Sisterhood.”
“Women must support other women in a way that allows those who chose difficult paths to learn to call upon their sisters, maintaining the understanding of who they are and what they can become. In this manner we can also support the development of the female aspect in our male counterparts, and then pass the legacy of wholeness to all of our children.”

Discovering your readings and the revelation of the 13 Original Clan Mothers was like stepping into a realm of knowledge I have only experienced in the many dreams I have had about your beautiful people. I hope (and feel assured) that one day my path will cross with yours and your people. Nga mihi nui – Chelita

This is simply wonderful and so important to me as a young woman going into a male dominated field. I have been wanting to read the book you mentioned and definitely plan on getting it soon.

Nice to read this! I am 40 year old and sinds a couple of years I feel the need to reunite with women. It feels as I have lost some part of me that is of great support and only when I am in gatherings of women I can feel this power and support. What is this mysterious power? Is it something to do with the need to embrace my identity as a woman? I feel a bond with my sisters and at the same time I feel the risitance of some women to embrace this sisterhood. Why?
Sometimes I dream of us women marching to something I don’t know and I see us determined yet quite and proud! I feel we women need to be united to gain strength and determination and wholeness. I have this dream of chapel-like where I can go and other women to honour the woman in us… Weird!
Do other women see these images? do you have these needs?

Yes.. I too feel the longing to connect with women in a quite loving fun supportive way. I love this book and dream of a day when all women rejoice together without our shadow sides getting in the way. The power and beauty of real connection, acceptance and Nuturing without expectations or judgements.

Hello beautiful.
Thank you for sharing these quotes. It’s been many years since I last read
The Thirteen Original Clan Mothers: Your Sacred Path to Discovering the Gifts, Talents, and Abilities of the Feminine Through the Ancient Teachings of the Sisterhood
I love Jamie Sams and her books. She’s a very wise woman. The ancient teachings echo still and add beauty and magick to our days and nights.

As a woman who works at one job with many other women, we relate to each other greatly in these ways: understanding, non judgment, compassion, reliance for strength, new knowledge concerning health, discussions about family that include men, children, our mothers & our sisters, changes in our lives outside of the workplace, and so much more. We also build each other up thru the spiritual graces of encouragment, joy, admiration, and more. It has helped me tremendously to work in such an environment where the women band together rather than harness the competitive edge that our male counterparts are known for. 😊
