as the winds of change are blowing we are growing, unraveling more of our own elemental, sovereign, idiosyncratic, wild and free range selves…
as i was tuning into the essence of our FULL MOON in AQUARIUS on July 29th, the word maverick kept coming to me…
and when i looked up the definition it said “an unbranded range animal,” for it turns out the term comes from a 19th-century American cattle rancher named Samuel Maverick who, unlike other cattle ranchers of his time, refused to brand his calves…
any unbranded calve became known as a “maverick” and over time, the word evolved to describe any person who refuses to be “branded” or labeled by society…
it is also defined as : an independent individual who does not go along with a group or party, and this does seem to encapsulate the essence of the AQUARIUS archetype…
whose vision stretches beyond black or white thinking and whose visionary outlook can hold the paradox…

it is not about going at it alone but rather coming together to collaborate with a greater purpose…
with the SOUTH NODE now LEO, we will be moving away from the need for validation and applause and shifting away from “how will this serve me?” to “how can i use my skills to help serve our people, our communities, our more-than-human kin, our planet?”
our FULL MOON in AQUARIUS on July 29th will be rising with the tides of change, bringing us to the shores of our upcoming eclipses…
